It’s getting easier
Munchberry, if you are reading this, I have tried to access your blog but can’t, says I’m not invited… I don’t know how to contact you for an invitation.
This morning I weighed myself, and whoop whoop 205!
Nice after not seeing a decrease the day before.
Anyways, things are getting much easier for me, yesterday I went to Denny’s for breakfast, I had the ultimate omelette, but for my sides, I asked for fruit and bacon. I drank coffee, I’m trying to get to the point I can drink it black. I put half the amount of milk I normally put in, and I only used one packet instead of two of sweet and low. So carb wise, it was good. And I didn’t touch any of hubby’s toast or potatoes like I normally do. It’s funny, it took getting up to day five for my body to say “okay I relent, you aren’t going to give me bread or chocolate anymore!”
Yesterday for lunch I made this:
Miss my old food pictures? This was taken straight from my phone and uploaded DIRECTLY to my blog, that’s exciting for me!
Makes it easier than pulling out my camera, putting it on my computer, uploading it, etc
This is avocado with tuna, then mixed in with hot sauce. I ate it with persian cucumbers for a crunch
I know a lot of people don’t seem to like cucumbers, but these are so good, they have the texture of small pickles and don’t have that thick skin (I don’t like the thick skin either). Anyways, this is a great lunch because it gives me yummy avocado, tuna (yeah I know it’s canned), and crunchy cucumbers to bring my veggies in
Much better than tortilla chips right?
Anyways, I was so good the rest of the day, no hunger pains, so I didn’t eat anything else, that portion was HUGE and it took me quite a while to get through it. My one problem seems to be at night, but I’ve started drinking hot tea with one packet of splenda, that helped to keep my stomach happy.
I did drink a lot of water though, the ketosis thirst is still there, but it’s okay, I should be drinking more water anyways.
Here’s to sticking to it
Today I’ve got round steaks braising, and I’m going to eat it with a side of roasted cauliflower
YUM! I have mashed potatoes for those who can eat carbs, but I’m keeping it far away from me! I also bought roasted lima beans and peas for snacks to munch on when the need hits

Hooray for you! I love roasted cauliflower. I’ve been thirsty lately too and only water will satisfy the thirst, which is good. Wish I could find Persian cucumbers, but I haven’t seen them in the stores.

Tuna with avocado? I love cucumbers, but I have never tried Persian. I’m not sure that I’ve ever seen them at my store. Hmmm, now I have a craving for cucumbers.
Great job this week! I think I will try the tea at night. Perhaps it will help me resist other snacking.

This looks good – almost like buffalo dip. I love those tiny cucumbers and roasted cauliflower, too. Thank goodness we like vegetables.

I tried to post here last night, but your site (or host) was down. That looks like guac! I’m going to have to try that!

That tuna/avocado looks tasty – never had that combo before, but I bet the avocado is a good sub for mayo. And I will try those persian cukes someday!!!

Lunch looks great. Try added some quinoa next time you make it for an extra boost of protein.
