Things are looking up!
I did it! I found a new job! I’m so happy. It pays much more (40% more), and it’s with an awesome company in San Diego. There is plenty of room for growth and the person who hired me is so excited to have me on. I tell my current job on Monday that I’m putting in my two week notice. The company wants me to start as soon as possible but of course I have to go through a “background” check. I think it’s the standard how is your credit, do you have criminal history, do you really have that education, the normal stuff, not the intense backgrounds I have done before. I have no doubts I will pass.
Anyways, hubby and I are thrilled. Life is slowly starting to fall back into place for us. Talking to my mom, she told us stay for the year, which we are contemplating doing. Staying at home will make our expenses pretty much nothing, and if we are good we can EASILY pay off our extra debts and have money saved by then. That’s one plan, another plan of course is to GET pregnant. I’m not in a rush, I’m not on the pill, but I’m sure losing weight will help make that happen, as well as exercise!
I’m still working on my diet, I have added more carbs back, but in the forms of whole grains and what not. The other day I did have some french fries when hubby and I went out to celebrate, but he definitely at the majority (I probably ate 1/4 of what I normally eat). And while I only ate about half of my food, and took the rest home, he ate every bite of his! I ate the rest of my food today. I still try to cut out as much carbs as possible and eat as many veggies as possible.
I weighed in today still at 205, but considering I just finished TOM, ate out the night before, and maintained I’m okay. Tomorrow I am making a chicken and vegetable soup because 1- I’m sick of salad, and 2- that sounds delicious for lunch for a few days.
Tonight we are going to dinner at hubby’s mom’s house, I know it’s going to be carb loaded and have dessert at the end, so I’ll do my best to just fill up on the veggies they have and eat a TINY bite of dessert.
I still haven’t started exercising, but once my new job starts my schedule will be more normal, and I believe the place I’m working at, *drum roll* HAS A GYM! Free for employees! I plan on trying to work out either before or after work each day (I’m thinking before). It’ll be nice to use some equipment now and then and change the workout up as well.
Stay blogging everyone! I’m going to check on you all tomorrow!

I am so happy for you! Forty percent more is such a huge difference, holy heck! Geez, it seems like everything is turning around in a great way.
To stay or to go…? Hmmmm. How much does your mum drive you crazy? We decided to stay in our soon to be foreclosing house to get clear of debts and save up. My dad is here when he isn’t on the road, and of course my cousin and her kids lived her for a year. On the one hand the stress really sucked, but I guess the good evens out the bad.
Ha, your poor sis. I think the reason we got sick so much is that my cousins two kids were living here, and she was always getting sick. That combined with the stress and my diet being wayyyy shittier did me in.
That’s awesome that you are joining a reiki group. Healing is good stuff.

Wow. 40%? That’s awesome. For the background check…should you wait until that’s complete before you notify your current job just in case something goes awry?
