Birthday Dinner Part…. 2?

Yesterday hubby took me out to Peohe’s, one of my favorite restaurants.

I drank water. I started with a salad (with a ginger vinaigrette), and had a roll of sushi, not the sushi that’s covered in sauces either, but it was good (salmon and spicy tuna yum!). Hubby started with their Thai Spring Rolls, I had one while he ate the other 3. He had steak with mashed potatoes, I had fish with spinach and feta cheese and a ginger rice. TBH I didn’t like the fish! For one, I found at least 3 bones and I’m pretty sure a scale, and I felt like my food might have been sitting around waiting… It was kind of cold! I didn’t eat it all, I left probably half the fish on my plate, but I ate the rest of the rice, feta, and spinach. Then for dessert we shared a MINI chocolate cake. I ate about three bites, hubby ate the rest.

No pictures of the food, we were just so hungry that we plowed through the first two courses, and then I just didn’t feel like pulling out my camera. But the food was all beautiful.

I’m not the kind of person to complain at a restaurant, so when the waiter asked, I didn’t want to say “well let me tell you GARY, the fish has bones in it and I also found a scale, and it’s kind of cold, and the fish tastes like it wasn’t cooked with ANY seasoning. I actually put some salt and pepper on my fish! I NEVER add salt to anything, so what was up with that? But all the other food was delicious :)

Weighed in at 205.5 today, which I know I’m gonna burn off today since I’m doing outside pickup. I actually really like doing pickup because you rush around from place to place for about 3-4 hours. I get my workout in for sure that way. And tomorrow I am going for a jog with a friend, and also on Friday AND Saturday. :) Look at me? Making time to workout! I’ve already noticed, in this week week, that my thighs, after 3 hours of running back and forth since last week at work, feel different. And I’m proud of myself that I’m not DYING, sure I am sleeping more, but I also think that I’m sleeping more soundly.

So I definitely know after this week of birthday celebrations not only am I planning on maintaining, but next week I plan on continuing to LOSE the weight. :)

Tonight supposedly my dad is going to take me out for dinner (still haven’t heard from him!), but if he doesn’t I’m prepared to make chicken fajitas with green chiles, onions, and chicken. I’m just going to eat mine over salad and hubby will have his with tortillas I’m sure. :)

And if my dad does show up, then there’s my dinner for Friday!

Now I’m off to eat a bowl of my chicken veggie soup (man it’s good!) and then go to work. Have a fabulous day YA’LL! ;)

You are doing great considering all that eating out. I’m glad you’re making time to exercise. :)

Happy birthday! Sounds like you had a nice birthday- although it’s too bad that the fish you got was crappy. I’m like you- if there is something I don’t like I never want to complain about it. I suppose when you pay for a meal you should tell them if it is lousy.
