Lapping the Couch

So this morning I weighed myself on the scale and was like 206? Huh that’s weird… *shrug*

Considering I don’t think the surface was too even, I am choosing to ignore that number and take a look at how I feel, another pair of jeans I put on are loose now, so they are going into the “donate” pile. I don’t mind letting go of these clothes because I bought them at a thrift store. At this point in my life I consider clothes rentals because a size 14/16 jean and Large/XL shirts are NOT my size!

I talked to a friend about running, told her I was discouraged that my “mile times” are like 20 freaking minutes! That is including a warmup though. She told me something that stuck with me, that I’m “lapping” everyone sitting on the couch.

And I thought WOW she is right. At least I’m out there trying to get my butt in shape, waking up at 5 am, getting to the gym by 6 am, and working it out! ;)

I stuck with 20 minutes on the elliptical today because it’s lower impact. I then went and did a bunch of squats on this cool squat machine at the gym, I started out at 50 lbs and then quickly moved up to 70, I’d like to get squats in as well to build up those muscles! I did 5 sets of 10 reps :) I’d like to tighten my darn legs! ;)

Tonight I’m actually free so I’m going to check on all my bloggers! I haven’t forgotten about any of you and I appreciate the time you all take to read my blog and check up on me :D

Have a healthy day!

I like that – lapping everyone who’s just sitting on the sofa (and that includes ME lately, lol). Keep up the good work!!

You’re friend is awesome! I love that she was being supportive, and she is completely right. So maybe it takes you twenty minutes, but you are doing it!!
Reading this makes me miss miss miss the gym. Gym equipment is so fun, and I love the elliptical.

Remember to press off you heels when doing squats and lift the toes up. I should be able to stick my fingers under your toes without you stepping on them.

Awesome job for getting in some gym time. I’m proud of you.
